Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Announces May 10 to be Observed as “Yom-e-Marka-e-Haq” Every Year

While addressing the central ceremony in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that May 10 will be observed every year at the national level as “Yom-e-Marka-e-Haq” (Day of the Battle for Truth) with enthusiasm and official celebrations.

In his speech, the prime minister said that in response to an attempt to impose war, the Pakistan Armed Forces gave a strong and decisive reply to the enemy, resulting in a rapid change in the situation within a few hours.

He stated that the country’s “Shaheens” (Air Force personnel) demonstrated excellent performance in aerial defense and foiled the enemy’s intentions, while the people across the country also showed complete solidarity with the armed forces.

The prime minister said that the purpose of observing Yom-e-Marka-e-Haq is to promote national unity, remember sacrifices, and raise awareness among the younger generation about the country’s defense.

The ceremony was attended by political and military leadership, government officials, and people from various walks of life.

He further said that Pakistan’s armed forces have always ensured the defense of the country and have stood by the nation’s trust in every difficult time.

He added that the purpose of marking this day is to strengthen national unity and pay tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs.

At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the security, progress, and prosperity of the country, while participants also raised slogans in support of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
