Actor Amit Bahl revealed that Akshaye Khanna once erupted like a volcano at the producer when he learned that an actor was prevented from eating alongside the main cast and crew.
Amit Bahl, speaking during an interview, said that a character actor who was staying at a separate hotel came to Akshaye’s hotel for lunch. As soon as he took the first bite of food, either the producer’s wife or a relative spotted him and said that he did not belong there and should not be eating that food.
The senior actor stated that the production team also stopped him from eating, after which he became angry, silently set his plate aside, and sat down.
According to Amit Bahl, Akshaye Khanna witnessed this scene from a distance and immediately stepped in. He criticized the producer and crew in harsh words and said: “What is the real meaning of hunger and respect? A film is not made by the amount of plates or food, but by the prayers of people.”
Amit further said that on that day he realized how sensitive and concerned Akshaye was for his fellow artists.
