Dhaka Test: Bangladesh Sets Pakistan a Target of 268 Runs to Win

On the final day of the Dhaka Test, Bangladesh has set Pakistan a victory target of 268 runs.

Bangladesh declared their second innings at 240 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Pakistan will need to score 268 runs in at least 75 overs to win the Test match. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 87 runs, while Mominul Haque contributed 56 runs.

Bangladesh resumed their second innings on the fifth day of the Test at 152 for 3.

At the start of the fifth day, Bangladesh lost their fourth wicket when the score reached 164 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim fell to Hasan Ali after scoring 22 runs.

Bangladesh’s fifth wicket fell when the score reached 190 runs. Litton Das was dismissed for 11 runs by Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Pakistan’s Noman Ali and Hasan Ali took 3 wickets each, while Shaheen Afridi claimed 2 wickets.

It should be noted that in the first innings, the Bangladesh team was bowled out for 413 runs. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 101, Mominul Haque made 91, and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 71 runs.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas took 5 wickets, Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets, while Noman Ali and Hasan Ali took one wicket each.

The national team was bowled out for 386 runs in their first innings, giving Bangladesh a 27-run first-innings lead.

Azzam Owais scored a brilliant 103 runs. Abdullah Fazal made 60, Mohammad Rizwan scored 59, and Salman Ali Agha stood out with 58 runs. Among the other batsmen, Imam-ul-Haq scored 45 and Shaheen Shah Afridi added 13 runs.

For Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled well and took 5 wickets, while Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam took 2 wickets each.
