Karachi: In an unfortunate traffic accident near a library in Defence Phase 2, two people riding a motorcycle were killed after being hit by a trailer.
According to police, both individuals died on the spot. Rescue teams shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital, where after completing legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the families.
Police said that the trailer driver fled the scene and a search for him is underway. Initial reports suggest that the trailer collided with the motorcycle due to overspeeding, resulting in the tragic accident.
Expressing concern over the rising number of traffic accidents, citizens said that large trailers and speeding vehicles are becoming a major cause of accidents in urban areas. Citizens have urged authorities to strictly enforce traffic laws.
