Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Safe City Headquarters in Islamabad, where he conducted a detailed review of ongoing projects, upgrade work, and future strategy.
During the visit, he was briefed on the progress of the project to transform Islamabad Safe City into a Capital Smart City. The minister also inspected the ongoing renovation and modernization work at the Safe City Headquarters.
Officials gave him a detailed briefing on the establishment of a fusion center and a modern control room.
On the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi directed that Safe City Phase-II should be completed within the stipulated time so that modern facilities can be provided to citizens at the earliest.
He emphasized that all relevant institutions will be brought onto a single integrated platform under the Safe City project to improve coordination, information sharing, and operational speed.
He said that the use of modern technology will not only help in preventing crime but also ensure a safer and more peaceful environment for citizens.
The minister added that this project will serve as an important milestone in transforming Islamabad into a modern and secure smart city in the future.
