Iran’s Response Rejected, President Trump Signals Possibility of Further Attacks

U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s response, calling it “unacceptable,” while Iran has shown conditional willingness to limit uranium enrichment. At the same time, proposals for a ceasefire and renewed negotiations have emerged, as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to escalate.

President Donald Trump declared Iran’s recent response completely unacceptable. In a statement posted on social media, Trump said he had reviewed the reply sent by Iran’s so-called representatives but did not approve of it in any way. He stated that Iran’s position was unacceptable to the United States and warned that the international community should take the matter seriously.

Trump’s remarks came amid growing tensions between the United States and Iran. In an interview recorded last week, the U.S. president made it clear that America would never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. He said Washington was closely monitoring Iran’s uranium program and warned that further military action could be taken if necessary.

Trump claimed that the United States had already targeted nearly 70 percent of Iran’s strategic sites, while several important targets still remained. He added that additional strikes on Iran could be launched within the next two weeks if required. In another statement, Trump accused Iran of “playing games” with both the United States and the international community. According to him, Tehran had been using delaying tactics for the past 47 years, and more time could no longer be wasted.

Meanwhile, U.S. newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran’s detailed response had been delivered to Washington through mediators. According to the report, Iran expressed willingness to temporarily suspend uranium enrichment but rejected the U.S. demand to halt enrichment activities for 20 years.

The report further stated that Iran proposed a ceasefire along with the gradual reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran also called for the removal of U.S. sanctions and the naval blockade, while offering to begin negotiations on nuclear issues within the next 30 days. However, Iran rejected the American demand to dismantle its nuclear facilities, maintaining that its nuclear program is intended solely for peaceful purposes.
