An unfortunate incident of harassment of female students has been reported from the Islampura area of Lahore, causing serious concern among citizens.
According to details, the incident occurred when a motorcyclist harassed two female students walking along the main road. The suspect later followed them into a nearby street, where he further harassed them.
Police said that the suspect managed to flee the scene after the incident, however CCTV footage of the area has been obtained, clearly showing the suspect’s face and motorcycle.
A case has been registered on the complaint of the father of one of the affected students. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Crime Control Department (CCD) and local police.
Officials said that raids are being conducted at various locations to arrest the suspect, while several individuals are also being questioned. Police added that efforts to trace the suspect have been intensified using modern technology, mobile data, and the CCTV network.
