Lahore: Police in Action, Female Pickpocket Gang Arrested, Footage Emerges

During ongoing operations against street crime and theft in Lahore, police arrested an alleged female pickpocket gang reportedly involved in theft incidents in the city’s busy commercial area of MM Alam Road.

According to police officials, action was taken after reports of suspicious activity at a boutique located on MM Alam Road, where two women were taken into custody. Initial investigations suggest that the suspects were allegedly planning to steal purses, cash, and mobile phones from female customers.

SP Model Town Asad Ali identified the arrested women as Sana and Kanwal, adding that both had previous records in similar cases.

Police officials said that a theft incident had also occurred a few days earlier at a boutique on MM Alam Road, and CCTV footage of the incident had surfaced. The footage allegedly showed the female suspects fleeing the scene after the theft, which helped authorities identify and arrest them.

During the operation, blades, cash, and other items were recovered from the suspects’ possession.

Authorities said a case has been registered against the arrested women, while further investigation is underway.
