Meta is set to launch new versions of Ray-Ban Meta glasses along with several other devices
Meta officially confirmed that Connect 2026 will take place September 23-24 in San Francisco, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s cryptic teaser indicating the company plans major announcements around smart glasses, AI-powered hardware, and competing directly with Apple’s wearable dominance.
The CEO shared teaser images on Instagram featuring emoji pictures of sunglasses along with phrases such as “AI updates,” “demos,” “better wifi,” and “special guests.” The second picture showed Zuckerberg holding a prototype of smart glasses with other similar devices shown on the table nearby.
The post sparked several rumors among tech enthusiasts, suggesting that the tech giant is going to launch multiple devices at once.
The emoji of sunglasses, together with pictures of devices, confirms one thing: Meta is set to launch new versions of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, which would have prescription lenses. Previously, it was reported that Meta was working on a version of glasses powered by AI technology.
