Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing a meeting of the federal cabinet, said that the success of “Marka-e-Haq” was celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm, and various ceremonies were organized nationwide on the occasion. He described the moment as a symbol of national unity and determination.
In his address, the Prime Minister stated that the entire nation stood united like one soul in two bodies, while the Pakistan Armed Forces taught the enemy a lesson that would be remembered for generations to come. He said that the strong bond between the nation and the armed forces is the country’s true strength and the guarantee of Pakistan’s defense and stability.
He also highlighted the importance of May 28, calling it a historic reminder of Pakistan becoming a nuclear power. Pakistan’s national stance, he said, is clear that its nuclear capability is meant for defense, not aggression, and that the international community recognizes Pakistan as a responsible nuclear state.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto laid the foundation of the nuclear program, while Nawaz Sharif brought it to completion in practical terms. The Prime Minister further said that the time has now come to strengthen Pakistan economically so that the country can move towards sustainable development.
He added that the land has been nourished by the blood of martyrs, and the struggle for the country’s security, progress, and stability will continue. According to him, the government is striving to overcome economic challenges while maintaining national unity.
At the conclusion of his speech, he paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and the people of the country for their role and sacrifices.
