Rawalpindi: Citizen Shot Dead by Unknown Assailants; Body Dumped by Roadside as Suspects Flee

Rawalpindi: A shocking blind murder case has emerged in the Chonjal Darkali area within the jurisdiction of Jatli police station, where unknown assailants shot and killed a man and dumped his body by the roadside before fleeing the scene. The incident spread fear and panic in the area.

Upon receiving the information, police and forensic teams reached the scene and collected evidence. The body was later shifted to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination, while police registered a case and launched an investigation.

According to authorities, the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Kishwar Abbas, a resident of Darkali Kalan. Initial reports suggest that he was shot at close range.

A police spokesperson stated that investigations are underway from multiple angles, including personal enmity, financial disputes, and other possible motives. Police have formed special teams to trace the suspects and have also initiated search operations in nearby areas.

Residents expressed concern over the incident, saying such events are increasing a sense of insecurity in the locality. They urged the police to arrest the culprits as soon as possible and ensure they are given exemplary punishment.
