A tragic road accident occurred in Swat where a vehicle fell into a deep ravine, resulting in 11 deaths and 5 injuries.
According to rescue officials, the vehicle was traveling from the Sir Teligram area of Malam Jabba towards Ganjir when it met with an accident near Ganjir.
As soon as the incident was reported, local residents and rescue teams rushed to the site and began relief operations. The rescue teams faced difficult terrain while attempting to retrieve the vehicle from the ravine.
After extensive efforts, rescue personnel managed to recover the bodies from the site. Authorities confirmed that women and children were among the deceased. The injured were shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital, where they are receiving emergency medical treatment.
Hospital sources said that the condition of five injured individuals is critical. Rescue officials stated that the accident occurred in a highly difficult and remote area, which created significant challenges during the operation; however, all available resources were utilized.
The administration has appealed to the public to exercise caution while traveling in mountainous regions.
